Piston Removal Tool for Montblanc 142 + others (Tool D30)
TOOL FOR REMOVAL OF THE PISTON IN THE MB 142 PEN and several other models with a tube that extends out the back of the barrel which has a small pinhole in it for engaging this tool's prong. This configuration locks so the tube can be turned and unscrewed. The pin is made of very hard spring steel, making it resistant to bending.
This tool is a delicate instrument, not a heavy duty tool or set of pliers. When using don't force the torque applied. If having trouble turning, apply heat before trying again. If you use this too forcefully, the pin will bend or break off completely.
