Shrink by the Foot
THIS PRODUCT WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM WHERE THE BACK HOLE IN THE FEED IS TOO SMALL FOR THE FILL TUBE TO FIT INTO IT. (I'VE ALWAYS WONDERED HOW PARKER FIT THAT FAT, NONTAPERED TUBE INTO THE HOLE IN THE FEED). THIS IS HEAT SHRINKABLE TUBING AND YOU CAN REDUCE THE DIAMETER OF THE TIP THAT GOES INTO THE HOLE IN THE FEED. YOU HEAT UP ONLY THE TIP OF THE TUBE WITH A HEAT SOURCE LIKE A PEN WARMER OR A LIGHTER AND IT WILL SHRINK WITH A TAPERED TIP, WHICH YOU THEN SHORTEN TO A LENGTH OF ABOUT 1/8" ON THE TAPERED TIP. Then you trim the back side of the fill tube to the length you need the fill tube to be. (For example, a standard Vac uses a fill tube with a total length of 1.27" and a 51 Vac has a total fill tube length of 1.52"). This process does not appear to interfere with the operation of the weir in the pen. The ink and air flows will keep working.
