ITEM #4WAYBUF:  4 Way Buffer: Foam centered buffer pads with 4 different fine grits, ideal for working out scratches from plastics. Strart out with the coursest grit and work your way down to the finest and you'r surface is ready for a polish,such as Simichrome or a buffing wheel with buffing compound, leaving no trace of sanding.

ITEM #3WAYBUF: 3 Way Buffer:  Similat to above buffer in 3 grits; pink, white, & gray - Gray is all the way across one side with grey & white each covering 1/2 of the other side. Black = 320 grit, White = 1,000 grit, and Grey = 12,000 grit. The Grey is preffered by some to polish scratchy nibs.

ITEM #NIB1MIC:  This is a 1 micron (14,000 grit American Standard) abrasive film intended for polishing sharp, scratchy edges on Iridium tips of nibs. Use this wet or dry, working the nib in figure 8s to smooth the nib out. Use the dull side of this material and keep checking the nib performance on paper. Don't go too far. 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".

ITEM #NIB2MIC:   This is a 2 micron (11,500 grit American Standard) fabric by Micromesh intended for polishing sharp, scratchy edges on Iridium tips of nibs. Use this wet or dry, working the nib in figure 8s to smooth the nib out. Keep checking the nib performance on paper. Don't go too far. This works faster than the 1 or .3 micron materials, so be careful and keep checking your progress by trying the nib out on paper. 3" x 6".

ITEM #SHIM STOCK:  USED FOR GENTLY SPREADING NIB TINES FARTHER APART TO CHANGE INK FLOW AND ALSO CLEAN THE SLOT. (You do not leave the shim in the nib as in an automotive bearing application). Handle these with care as they have sharp edges. Weart gloves and/or finger cots when using. A set comes with a 1/2" x 3" piece of each of the following thicknesses: .001", .002", .003". .004", & .005". Rust proof stainless steel. Stronger and longer lasting than brass.

ITEM #WHLCLN:  SMALL BUFFING WHEEL CLEANER. Originally intended for cleaning file grooves, these work great for removing the glaze that accumulates on the surface of small (<2" dia. and <32 ply) buffing wheels. this coating packs the surface together which can cause heat which can damage the surface of plastic or hard rubber. Keep your wheels clean & cool with these tools. Just act like you're polishing the wire pad with your wheel, turning into the direction the tines are coming from. They also work great for cleaning files. Use your safety glasses when using these. Two sizes, 9" & 6".
