A Pelikan calligraphy nib is designed to produce decorative, expressive line variation rather than just smooth everyday writing. It’s essentially a broad italic nib meant for lettering styles, headings, and artistic scripts. It has a flat, straight edge rather than the rounded tip of a standard nib.
