It has no seals
and no slit in the gold plated nib, and no ink channel in the feed, so it isn't intended to write, but it's spectacular to look at and watch it work as the nib/feed unit travels smoothly out and then back in.
This piece is 10 1/2" long and uses the spiral channel to propel the nib/feed assembly in and out, just like the old Watermans did.

ITEM #4163d: WATERMAN'S TAPERITE IN NEAR MINT CONDITION WITH FACTORY PRICE STICKER AND A GRADING ON THE BOUNDARY BETWEEN mEDIUM AND BROAD ON A PARKER FACTORY NIB GRADER. I could call this MINT NOS condition except for the fact that is it has a not deeply engraved personalization in gold paint, "E. M. Morris 1955" that would be easy to buff off. I've left it intact because of the date placement this provides. But it DOES still have a large, elaborate gold / red price sticker that hasn't been written-on or torn. ITEM #CF REFILL: BALLPOINT REFILLS FOR OLDER AND LATER CFs AND OTHER WATERMAN's BALLPOINTS. I had a batch of those funky old refills with the flared back ends made. These fit BOTH of the Waterman's CF ballpoint releases from the 50s and the ones from the 80s. They fit most of the other older Waterman's ballpoints shown below, the ones with the long monster springs. And they fit the newer 80s release CFs with the fold-over rube goldberg holders for the fillers (one of these pens is shown at the bottom of the first photo).
They fit a lot of other early Waterman's
ballpoints that aren't shown below; If yours has a flared back end on the refill and the monster spring, these will fit.The second photo shows typical Waterman's older non-CF ballpoints that these fit as well as a later "Classic" CF released in the 80s.

ITEM #4086: WATERMAN'S EMBLEM DEMONSTRATOR. With a "WATERMAN'S IDEAL FIRM 5A" nib that measures right on the dividing line between MEDIUM and FINE on a Parker factory nib grader. This pen has 2 fine, tight cracks on the cap lip, held in place by the tight cap band. They show up in the photos below. This is an extremely clean and clear pen; I don't believe it has been inked. Measures 5.24" long, .525" dia. @ cap band. This pen is not returnable if dipped or filled. I've intentionally put a latex sac in for authenticity; if you purchase it and you request one, I can put a silicone sac in for you at no extra charge.
I've sold one of these for $200 in the past, with similar cracks, and the month after that it was in the catalog put out by the guy that bought it from me. It was listed there for $400. It was gone the next month the catalog came out.

Uses .036" (.9mm) leads. nice clarity with a tight, 5/8" un-opened verticle stress crack in the cap, not near the lip, band, or clip, noticable only because of the translucent plastic used. It causes no detectable surface irreguarity (i.e., you can see the crack if you look closely, but you can't feel it). You couldn't see it in a photo; it's too small of a detail.

ITEM #5317: WATERMAN’s 0552 WITH GOLD FILLED GOTHIC OVERLAY ON BLACK HARD RUBBER. Lever filling with "18K FILLED" printed on top of clip, dating this piece to earlier production. Overlay is nice and crisp with NO BRASSING OR DENTS. No brassing on clip ball, either. NO MONOGRAMS OR PERSONALIZATION on overlays. The dome on the cap is perfectly smooth and round, with no hammering around the circumference. BHR color is dark, shiny black and uniform, with no change in shades where the cap overlaps the barrel. This piece also has the "IDEAL' baseball stamped extra piece at the top of the lever slot under the baseball on the top of the lever. The BROAD No. 2 Reg. U.S. PAT. OFF. nib is a classic very FLEXIBLE early Waterman No. 2. Not quite a 'Wet Noodle', but getting there. The barrel end number is still there, although it's not 'crisp'. With all of the above, it's an early 20th century eye-catcher. This is what you look for in a classic vintage pen.

ITEM #5640: WATERMAN 52 IN BLACK HARD RUBBER WITH FLEX MEDIUM/FINE NIB. The nib grade is right on the boundary between Fine and Medium on a Parker factory nib grader. Crisp imprint with weak chasing on the barrel. The cap has no clip and it never did, even though it has 2 small, very clean holes where one could be riveted, but they are much smaller than they would be if they had ever had rivets going through them. Also, there is no flat spot wear
from the top of a riveted-on clip.

No dents in the surfaces of the barrel and cap, but the circumference around the top of the cap dome is slightly out of round, which is only visible when you look straight down on the cap (shown in the last photo below).

ITEM #4927: WATERMAN PERSIAN PENCIL. A small pencil, but it's in one of the rarest of Waterman's colors. I've been told the reason I haven't ever seen a pen in this color is that this color is so susceptible to the effects of ink and latex
that the pens have all turned brown. This piece has survived quite well. With a gold filled clip and a working mechanism, it uses .046" (1.1 mm)
leads. The piece is 4.36" long. No brassing on trim. It has the name "A. SMITHSON" stamped on the barrel.

ITEM #3006: WATERMAN 0515 POC EYEDROPPER FILLING FOUNTAIN PEN. Medium 14K nib, gold filled overlay on barrel. Taper cap. I wondered if this didn't have the wrong cap on it, but since I got this, I've found two more for sale at shows with an overlayed barrel with a black hard rubber cap like this one. This has "R.J. SEIBERLICH" engraved on the cartouche.
He was listed in 1908 as an officer or director of the Fidelity Mutual Life Insurance Co. in Minneapolis and his compensation for that year was $6985, which wasn't bad.

ITEM #4011: WATERMAN's 12 VS BLACK CHASED HARD RUBBER SAFETY PEN. New cork seal. This model dates to approx. 1912, based on the fact that it has the straight inner barrel slots, so the fine nib does not rotate as it screws out, and also, the knob used to extend the nib was made with no threads on it. There is weak chasing and a tight repaired cap lip crack, barely noticeable. Weak to medium barrel imprint. The black hard rubber color is about 95% on this piece. Tests @ 1.4 cc capacity - that's big for a pen this size.
