ITEM #PENMAN INKS: DISPLAY CASE FOR THE SHORT LIVED PARKER PENMAN INK LINE. Introduced in 1989 to accompany the Centennial Duofold and Sonnet lines, it was rumored to cause clogging and fouling of the flow mechanisms in a lot of pens, excepting pens like Lamy, Pelikan and other heavy duty German pens. This was due to the intense concentration of dye used, usually causing saturation of the solution. All five colors are represented in this sampler, in boxes and cartridges. There are also (3) colors of Golden Touch ballpoint refills.
The ink colors represented in this display piece are Ebony, Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, and Mocha.
Here's what is included;
(5) Ink bottle boxes (empty); there is a box for each color.
(5) Different color ink cartridge boxes, all empty.
(5) Ink cartridges, one in each of the (5) colors, full.
(3) Golden touch Ballpoint refills, a red, a blue and a black, all working.
Found in the back room of a shop in Southern California formerly run uder proprietorship of the third generation of the same family's ownership.

ITEM #H2O 10S: LE WATERMAN REPAIR MAILING ENVELOPES. Found in the back room of a California pen shop owned by 3 generations of the same family. These were intended to be used for mailing Waterman pens to repair stations in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Boston. These are clean, crisp and unused.
Brown with age. One of them has a rubber stamped dealer name & address, "Golden Rule Pen & Pencil Shop" in Long Beach.

ITEM #NAT'LEADS: #104 COUNTER TOP DISPLAY FULL OF NATIONAL LEADS. This display is designed to stand up by itself by folding out a large tab on the back (This is shown in the third picture below. This is clean, with 24 un-opened
boxes of lead. It was found with a very clean slide-in sleeve that it originally came in.
The whole package measures 10 3/4" X 5 1/2 X 7/8" and it is designed to dispense tiny boxesof lead from the bottom corners.

ITEM #PARKER FRANCHISED DEALER WINDOW STICKER: 5" X 7". Reads "Parker Franchised Dealer" and "Fine Quality Writing Instruments" with a hand holding a pen as a watermark over the latter. The photos don't do this piece justice because the peel-off backing ("fronting", really) is somewhat translucent rather than clear. I'm showing 2 different exposures to try to give a better idea of what you're getting. It's a gold color with black lettering and the hand holding the pen is smokey white. This belonged to "Mr. C", Glenn Chistensen, proprietor of THE WRITE SHOP in Long Beach and (later) Garden Grove, California from 1956 through about 2006 when he retired. This piece is un-installed and it's from the 50s, so I won't guarantee the viability of the glue; this item is being sold as an original Parker artifact.
Please understand that you are looking at it through a milky paper placed over the image during manufacture to keep it from sticking to anything until the paper is peeled off and the decal is placed against a clear glass window.

ITEM #INKWELLS: ANTIQUE SCHOOL DESK INKWELLS. MADE FROM GLASS AND BLACK HARD RUBBER. These are the real pig-tail dipping thing! Made by the American Seating Company. Some are marked "59" and some are marked "60" on the bottom of the glass, but dimensionally they are all the same size. The glass part depth is 1.14" and the pen hole in the top of the well is .443" diameter. There are 16 available and you can buy them in any quantity up to that. They are made to fit into a hole that is 1 1/2" diameter with the lid above the surface, or, the lid will still stop the unit from dropping through a hole measuring 1.86" in a more flush installation. The lid includes a swinging closer.

ITEM #5411: AA WATERMAN & Co's PORCELAIN SIGN. Besides being quite rare, this is a very puzzling configuration; Two double sided signs riveted together with each 'borrowing' about 2 inches of the back of its mate, having that part of itself missing. I can't figure how this got this way. There was an identical one in the recent auction of the Fred Krinke collection and it was cobbled together the same way; the description there read "...seems to be two signs matched up together." This is a really neat bit of advertising by Grinell sign & poster Co. NY.

You could take these apart nand have 2 double sided signs, but they would each be missing the right 2 inches.
